Menu bar piano is a small macOS menu bar app that turns typing into music: while it's on, every keystroke — in any app — plays the next note of a song. It ships with fourteen public-domain melodies, a free-play mode where anything you type sounds good, and a plain-text format for adding your own.

  • Requires macOS 14 or later and Input Monitoring permission.
  • Keystrokes only advance the song; nothing is logged, stored, or sent.
